GCET2 (Germinal Center B-cell Expressed Transcript 2), also known as human germinal center-associated lymphoma (HGAL) protein, is a 28 kDa cytoplasmic protein encoded by the *GCET2* gene located on chromosome 3q13. It is selectively expressed in germinal center (GC) B-cells and plays a role in regulating B-cell receptor signaling, cell motility, and immune synapse formation. GCET2 antibodies are widely utilized as immunohistochemical markers to identify GC-derived B-cell lymphomas, particularly in the classification of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (DLBCLs) into molecular subtypes (e.g., germinal center B-cell-like [GCB] vs. activated B-cell-like [ABC] subtypes).
