The PAM16 (Presence Activated Mitochondrial 16 kDa) antibody targets a conserved mitochondrial inner membrane protein critical for cellular energy metabolism. PAM16. also known as TIM16. is a key component of the TIM23 (Translocase of the Inner Mitochondrial Membrane) complex, which facilitates the import and sorting of nuclear-encoded precursor proteins into the mitochondrial matrix.
