The RAP80 (Receptor-Associated Protein 80) antibody is a crucial tool for studying the molecular mechanisms of DNA damage response and repair. RAP80. a 80 kDa protein, belongs to the ubiquitin-interacting motif (UIM)-containing protein family and plays a pivotal role in recruiting DNA repair complexes to sites of DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs). It interacts with polyubiquitin chains generated at damage sites, facilitating the assembly of the BRCA1-A complex, which includes BRCA1. Abraxas, MERIT40. and other partners.
