背景信息

The Phospho-LAT(Y191) antibody is a specialized tool used to detect the phosphorylated form of the LAT protein (Linker for Activation of T cells) at tyrosine residue 191. LAT is a transmembrane adaptor protein critical for signaling in T cells and other immune cells. Upon T-cell receptor (TCR) activation, LAT is phosphorylated at key tyrosine residues, including Y191. by kinases such as ZAP-70 or Syk. This phosphorylation event enables LAT to recruit downstream signaling molecules like Grb2. GADS, and PLC-γ1. forming multiprotein complexes that propagate signals essential for T-cell activation, proliferation, and cytokine production.

The Y191 phosphorylation site is particularly important for coupling LAT to pathways involving Ras/MAPK and calcium flux, which regulate gene expression and functional responses. Antibodies targeting Phospho-LAT(Y191) are widely used in immunology research to study TCR signaling dynamics, immune cell activation, and defects associated with immunodeficiencies or autoimmune disorders. These antibodies are typically validated for applications such as Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence, enabling researchers to assess the activation status of LAT in experimental models or clinical samples.

Dysregulation of LAT phosphorylation has been linked to pathological conditions, including leukemia and lymphomas, making this antibody a valuable tool for both basic research and translational studies aiming to dissect immune signaling networks or develop targeted therapies.
