CD34 antibody targets the CD34 antigen, a cell surface glycoprotein functioning as a cell-cell adhesion molecule. First identified in the 1980s, CD34 is highly expressed on hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs), making it a key marker for isolating these cells in research and clinical settings. Structurally, CD34 is a single-pass transmembrane protein belonging to the sialomucin family, characterized by a heavily glycosylated extracellular domain.

CD34 antibodies revolutionized hematopoiesis studies by enabling the identification, isolation, and characterization of HSPCs via flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.
