WDR36 (WD40-repeat protein 36) is a member of the evolutionarily conserved WD40-repeat protein family, characterized by tandem repeats of ~40 amino acids that fold into β-propeller structures. Human WDR36. located on chromosome 5q22.1. encodes a 951-amino acid protein predominantly expressed in ocular tissues, the liver, and kidneys.
