Recombinant human UNR (Upstream of N-Ras) protein, also known as CSDE1 (Cold Shock Domain Containing E1), is a multifunctional RNA-binding protein involved in post-transcriptional gene regulation. Discovered upstream of the N-Ras oncogene, UNR contains five cold shock domains (CSDs) that enable RNA binding, facilitating interactions with AU-rich elements (AREs) in mRNA untranslated regions (UTRs).
