背景信息

BOB1 (also known as OBF1 or OCA-B) is a B-cell-specific transcriptional coactivator encoded by the *POU2AF1* gene. It plays a critical role in B-cell development and immune response by interacting with transcription factors OCT1/OCT2 (POU2F1/POU2F2) to regulate the expression of immunoglobulin genes and other B-cell-specific targets. BOB1 stabilizes OCT1/2 binding to DNA, enhancing transcriptional activation of genes involved in antibody production, B-cell receptor signaling, and antigen presentation.

BOB1 antibodies are widely used in research and diagnostic pathology to identify B-cell lineage in lymphoid malignancies.
