The ERP27 antibody targets ERP27 (Endoplasmic Reticulum Protein 27), a 27 kDa protein predominantly localized in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). ERP27 is structurally related to the protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) family, sharing a thioredoxin-like domain critical for disulfide bond formation and isomerization during protein folding. It is encoded by the ERP27 gene in humans and is implicated in ER stress responses, cellular protein quality control, and secretory pathway regulation.
