The SNAPC5 antibody targets the SNAPC5 (Small Nuclear RNA Activating Complex Polypeptide 5) protein, a key component of the SNAP complex (also known as the PTF complex). This evolutionarily conserved multiprotein complex is essential for the transcription initiation of small nuclear RNA (snRNA) genes by RNA polymerase III (Pol III). SNAPC5. along with other subunits (SNAPC1-4), binds to the proximal sequence element (PSE) in snRNA gene promoters, facilitating the recruitment of Pol III and coactivators.
