**Background of PCDHgA2 Recombinant Protein**

The protocadherin gamma subfamily A2 (PCDHgA2) is a member of the clustered protocadherin-γ (PCDH-γ) family, a group of transmembrane proteins critical for neural development, synaptic connectivity, and cell-cell recognition in the central nervous system. Protocadherins are adhesion molecules that mediate homophilic interactions, playing roles in neuronal circuit assembly, axon guidance, and dendritic self-avoidance. The PCDH-γ cluster contains 22 variable exons (γA1–γA12 and γB1–γB10) and a set of constant exons.
