Basic helix-loop-helix family member B2 (BHLHB2), also known as DEC1 or STRA13. is a transcription factor belonging to the class B basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) superfamily. It plays multifaceted roles in cellular differentiation, circadian rhythm regulation, and tumorigenesis. Structurally, BHLHB2 contains a conserved bHLH domain essential for DNA binding and dimerization with other transcription regulators.
