Kallikrein-related peptidase 2 (KLK2) is a serine protease encoded by the KLK2 gene, part of the human tissue kallikrein family comprising 15 secreted enzymes. Primarily expressed in the prostate gland, KLK2 is involved in proteolytic cascades, regulating processes such as seminal clot liquefaction, cell growth, and hormone activation.
