The RPL5 antibody targets the Ribosomal Protein L5. a component of the 60S ribosomal subunit crucial for ribosome biogenesis and protein synthesis. RPL5 plays a dual role: it stabilizes 5S rRNA during ribosome assembly and participates in p53-mediated stress responses by binding to MDM2. thereby regulating cell cycle arrest or apoptosis.
