CAB39 (Calcium Binding Protein 39), also known as MO25 or CGI-66. is a scaffold protein that plays a critical role in regulating cellular signaling pathways. It is a key component of the STRAD-MO25-LKB1 complex, which activates the tumor suppressor kinase LKB1 (Liver Kinase B1). LKB1. in turn, regulates energy metabolism and cell polarity by activating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and other downstream kinases.
