The melanocortin receptor accessory protein 2 (MRAP2) is a transmembrane protein that modulates signaling of melanocortin receptors (MCRs), a family of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) critical in regulating energy homeostasis, steroidogenesis, and appetite.
