The FKBP2 (N-term) antibody targets the N-terminal region of FK506-binding protein 2 (FKBP2), a member of the FKBP immunophilin family. FKBP2. also known as FKBP13. is a peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) that facilitates protein folding and conformational regulation by catalyzing proline residue isomerization. It contains a conserved FK506-binding domain (FKBD) and a tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) domain, enabling interactions with chaperones like Hsp90 and Hsp70. which are critical for protein complex assembly and stability. FKBP2 localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), where it participates in stress response pathways, calcium signaling, and quality control of nascent proteins.
