The GAS41 (Glioma-Amplified Sequence 41) antibody is a tool used to study the GAS41 protein, a member of the YEATS domain-containing protein family involved in chromatin remodeling and epigenetic regulation. GAS41. located on chromosome 9q33-q34. was initially identified as a gene amplified in gliomas and has since been implicated in various cancers, including glioblastoma, prostate cancer, and lung adenocarcinoma. The protein interacts with histone modifications, particularly acetylated H3K27. facilitating chromatin accessibility and transcriptional activation.
