**Background of RBX1 Antibody**

RBX1 (RING-box protein 1), also known as ROC1. is a critical component of the SCF (Skp1-Cul1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, which plays a central role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS). This system regulates protein degradation, a process essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, cell cycle progression, DNA repair, and signal transduction. RBX1 contains a RING-finger domain that facilitates the recruitment of E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, enabling the transfer of ubiquitin to substrate proteins targeted for proteasomal degradation.

RBX1 is indispensable for the assembly and activity of Cullin-RING ligases (CRLs), the largest family of E3 ubiquitin ligases.
