The 3-phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase-1 (PDPK1), also known as PDK1. is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a central role in regulating cell survival, proliferation, and metabolism. It acts as a master regulator of the AGC kinase family (including Akt/PKB, SGK, and PKC), which are critical for signaling pathways such as PI3K/AKT/mTOR. PDPK1 phosphorylates these downstream kinases at their activation loops, enabling their full enzymatic activity. Dysregulation of PDPK1 is implicated in cancer, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a therapeutic target and a focus of biomarker research.

PDPK1 antibodies are essential tools for studying its expression, localization, and interactions in normal and diseased tissues.
