BRCC36 (BRCA1/BRCA2-containing complex subunit 36) is a deubiquitinating enzyme (DUB) belonging to the JAMM/MPN+ metalloprotease family. It plays a critical role in regulating protein degradation and cellular signaling by removing ubiquitin chains from target proteins. BRCC36 is a core component of two distinct macromolecular complexes: the BRISC complex (BRCC36 isopeptidase complex) and the BRCA1-A complex.
