**Background of MTAP Antibodies**

Methylthioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP) is a key enzyme in the purine salvage pathway, catalyzing the conversion of methylthioadenosine (MTA) into adenine and methionine. The *MTAP* gene is located on chromosome 9p21.3. a region frequently deleted in cancers such as glioblastoma, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, and non-small cell lung cancer.
