背景信息

DOCK2 (Dedicator of Cytokinesis 2) is a member of the DOCK protein family, which functions as atypical guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) for Rho GTPases. Specifically, DOCK2 regulates Rac activation, a key process in cytoskeletal reorganization, cell migration, and immune cell signaling. It is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic cells, particularly lymphocytes, and plays a critical role in immune responses. Studies highlight its importance in chemokine-directed trafficking of T cells, B cells, and natural killer (NK) cells, as well as in the activation and function of these cells. DOCK2-deficient mice exhibit impaired immune cell migration and compromised adaptive immunity, underscoring its biological relevance.

The DOCK2 antibody is a research tool designed to detect and quantify DOCK2 protein expression in experimental settings. It is widely used in immunological studies to investigate mechanisms of immune cell migration, immune synapse formation, and intracellular signaling pathways. Applications include Western blotting, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry. Researchers also employ DOCK2 antibodies to explore its involvement in diseases such as autoimmune disorders, inflammatory conditions, and cancers, where dysregulated Rac signaling or immune cell dysfunction is implicated. Recent interest in DOCK2 as a potential therapeutic target further drives the development and validation of specific antibodies for functional studies and drug discovery.
