Desmoglein 2 (DSG2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the desmoglein subfamily of cadherins, primarily involved in forming desmosomes—specialized intercellular junctions critical for tissue integrity and mechanical stability in epithelial and myocardial cells.
