背景信息

The PSB9/LMP2 antibody targets the proteasome subunit beta type 9 (PSMB9), also known as Low Molecular Mass Protein 2 (LMP2). This protein is a critical component of the immunoproteasome, a specialized form of the proteasome induced by interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) in response to inflammatory signals. Unlike the standard proteasome, the immunoproteasome contains PSMB9/LMP2 along with other inducible subunits, enhancing the production of peptides with hydrophobic or basic C-termini for optimal antigen presentation via major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules.
