简介
GPHA2 acts as a heterodimeric glycoprotein hormone together with GPHB5 to form a complex that binds and activates the thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor (TSHR), thereby triggering elevated cAMP production. This protein complex plays a key role in the regulation of thyroid cell metabolism, controlling the basic metabolic processes of thyroid cells. GPHA2 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived GPHA2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

背景信息
The study of GPHA2 (Glycoprotein Hormone Alpha 2) recombinant protein is increasingly relevant due to its potential implications in reproductive biology and endocrine function. GPHA2, which is part of the glycoprotein hormone family, plays a critical role in the regulation of gonadotropin synthesis and secretion alongside its counterpart, GPHA1. Research has shown that GPHA2 is predominantly expressed in the pituitary gland and may have significant effects on reproductive health by influencing luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels. Advances in recombinant DNA technology have enabled the production of GPHA2 in heterologous systems, facilitating detailed investigations into its structure, functional properties, and biological activity. By obtaining high-purity GPHA2 recombinant protein, scientists can explore its interactions with receptors and downstream signaling pathways, providing insights into its physiological roles. Furthermore, understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying GPHA2 functions could lead to novel therapeutic approaches for disorders related to reproductive hormones, such as infertility or endocrine imbalances. Overall, the ongoing research into GPHA2 recombinant protein not only enhances our knowledge of gonadotropin regulation but also opens new avenues for clinical applications in reproductive health.
