Mahogunin Ring Finger 1 (MGRN1) is a member of the RING finger family of E3 ubiquitin ligases, which plays a critical role in ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation and cellular homeostasis. First identified through its association with the mahoganoid coat color mutation in mice, MGRN1 is ubiquitously expressed in mammalian tissues, particularly enriched in the brain, testes, and melanocytes.
