背景信息

Recombinant human KIAA0141 protein, also known as SHIP1 (SH2 domain-containing inositol 5-phosphatase 1), is a key regulator of cellular signaling pathways. It was initially identified through genomic sequencing as an open reading frame (KIAA0141) with unknown function. Subsequent studies revealed its role as a lipid phosphatase that hydrolyzes phosphatidylinositol (3.4.5)-trisphosphate [PIP3] to phosphatidylinositol (3.4)-bisphosphate [PI(3.4)P2], thereby modulating PI3K/Akt signaling cascades.
