背景信息

Recombinant human IMP4 protein is a genetically engineered form of the IMP4 (Involved in Metabolism and Proliferation 4) protein, which plays a critical role in ribosome biogenesis and cellular proliferation. IMP4. also known as HTRA3. is a member of the Brix domain-containing protein family and is evolutionarily conserved across eukaryotes. It is primarily localized in the nucleolus, where it participates in the processing and maturation of 18S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) during the assembly of the 40S ribosomal subunit. Structurally, IMP4 contains KH and SAF (scaffold-associated factor) domains, which facilitate RNA binding and interactions with other ribosome assembly factors.
