Recombinant human C21orf25 protein, encoded by the chromosome 21 open reading frame 25 gene (C21orf25), is a protein of interest in cellular metabolism and disease research. The C21orf25 gene, located on human chromosome 21q22.11, encodes a conserved 181-amino-acid protein initially annotated as a putative reactive intermediate deaminase (RIDA) homolog. It belongs to the Rid protein superfamily, which is implicated in nucleotide metabolism and detoxification of reactive metabolites.
