  • 稳定性测试

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • 保存条件 & 期限

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • 运输条件

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

背景信息

Pex5, known as peroxisomal biogenesis factor 5, is a pivotal protein in the transport of peroxisomal matrix enzymes and the maintenance of peroxisome biogenesis. It specifically recognizes and binds to peroxisomal targeting signals (PTS) found in proteins destined for the peroxisome, facilitating their import via a complex transport mechanism. Studies have shown that mutations in the Pex5 gene are associated with various peroxisomal biogenesis disorders, leading to severe metabolic dysfunctions and developmental issues. As a result, understanding the structure and function of Pex5 at the molecular level is crucial for elucidating the mechanisms governing peroxisome formation and the implications of Pex5 deficiencies. Research efforts have increasingly focused on the recombinant production of Pex5 to probe its interactions with PTS-containing proteins and explore its role in peroxisomal transport pathways. By employing recombinant DNA technology, researchers aim to produce large quantities of Pex5 for biochemical assays, structural analysis, and potential therapeutic applications. Insights gained from these studies could pave the way for developing novel strategies to combat peroxisomal disorders, allowing for targeted interventions that could improve patient outcomes and enhance our understanding of peroxisomal function in cellular metabolism.
