TNPO1 (Transportin-1), also known as Importin-β2. is a nuclear transport receptor belonging to the importin-β family. It mediates the nuclear import of specific cargo proteins containing a proline-tyrosine nuclear localization signal (PY-NLS), including RNA-binding proteins, splicing factors, and certain viral proteins.
