LAF4 (Lymphoid Nuclear Protein Related to AF4), also known as AFF3. is a member of the AF4/FMR2 family of nuclear transcriptional regulators. It plays a critical role in transcriptional elongation and chromatin modification, particularly during lymphoid development. The LAF4 protein is structurally characterized by conserved homology regions (AF4/FMR2 family domains) that mediate interactions with other transcriptional regulators, including components of the super elongation complex (SEC).
