The LAT (Linker for Activation of T cells) protein is a critical adaptor molecule in T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling, facilitating immune cell activation and downstream effector functions. Expressed predominantly in T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and mast cells, LAT contains multiple tyrosine residues that, when phosphorylated by ZAP-70 kinase, serve as docking sites for signaling proteins like PLC-γ1. Grb2. and Gads. This assembly promotes signal transduction pathways essential for T-cell proliferation, cytokine production, and immune response coordination. Dysregulation of LAT is implicated in immune disorders and malignancies.
The LAT (Ab-255) antibody is a monoclonal antibody generated against a specific epitope of human LAT. Commonly used in research applications such as Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence, it enables the detection and analysis of LAT expression, post-translational modifications (e.g., phosphorylation), and interactions in cellular contexts. Clone Ab-255 has been validated in human and murine models, aiding studies on TCR signaling dynamics, immune synapse formation, and pathological mechanisms in autoimmune diseases or lymphoproliferative disorders. Its specificity and reliability make it a valuable tool for dissecting LAT-mediated signaling networks and exploring therapeutic targets in immunology and oncology.
