FGFR1OP2 (Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 1 Oncogene Partner 2), also known as CEP43. is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12p11.21. It was initially identified as a fusion partner of FGFR1 in rare myeloproliferative disorders caused by chromosomal translocations, particularly the t(12;8)(p11;p11) rearrangement. The gene encodes a centrosomal protein involved in regulating centrosome integrity, cilia formation, and cell cycle progression.
