MAP1LC3A (microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 alpha), commonly referred to as LC3A, is a key autophagy-related protein involved in the formation and maturation of autophagosomes, double-membrane vesicles that sequester cytoplasmic components for lysosomal degradation.
