TPSAB1 antibodies target tryptase beta-1. a serine protease primarily expressed in mast cells. Encoded by the *TPSAB1* gene, this enzyme is stored in mast cell granules and released upon activation, playing a key role in allergic responses, inflammation, and tissue remodeling. Tryptase beta-1 cleaves extracellular matrix proteins, activates protease-activated receptors (PARs), and modulates immune cell activity, contributing to conditions like asthma, anaphylaxis, and mastocytosis.

As a diagnostic and research tool, TPSAB1 antibodies are used to detect mast cell density or activation in tissues, aiding in the diagnosis of mast cell disorders (e.g., systemic mastocytosis) or allergic diseases. They also help study mast cell biology, including degranulation mechanisms and pathological roles in chronic inflammation or fibrosis.
